Pry up on 2 tabs next to each other, on most bands there will be tabs on the inside of the watch band and the outside. That means in most cases you will have to pry up on 4 tabs for each side of the watch band to remove one link.
You can take your watch to any jeweler in your area that can remove links from watch to adjust to your wrist size.
Can you replace a metal watch band with leather?
NOTE: While you can replace a metal watch band with any kind of watch band from leather to rubber, or just stick with a metal band, you need to be sure that you use a band with similar end pieces.
Can you change the band on any watch?
If there are no screws and the band is just connected with a spring bar, you can change it in basically the same way as you would a leather or fabric strap. Insert whatever spring bar tool you are using into the point where the band is connected to the lugs, and carefully try to get the spring bar free.
How do I make my watch strap loop?
A small elastic hair tie will probably work best in a pinch, followed by a rubber band or rolled up duct tape or a twisty tie from a bread bag. You can also find scrap leather and superglue a new loop.
How tight should a metal watch band be?
The watch should be loose enough that you can slide your index finger underneath the band but not so loose that you can move the index finger around. If you cannot slide your finger underneath the band, the watch is too snug.
