How do you fix worn high heels?
Using a pair of pliers, remove the old heel tips by lightly twisting and wriggling until the old heel tips pop out. Sand down the shoe with sandpaper if the heel is uneven or holds remnants of glue or other material. Once the old tip is out, align the nail of the new tip with the hole on your shoe.
Can you change the heel on a shoe?
A cobbler can repair or change the heel of your shoe. For example, a cobbler can change a wide heel into a stiletto, or widen a stiletto into a traditional heel. Also as a preventative, cobblers can place a heel tip over your existing one so it doesn’t wear out as quickly.
